how it works

Every light is a real aircraft, in the sky right now.

Loftlit listens to the position, altitude and motion aircraft already broadcast as they fly. Each becomes a small point of light drifting over a soft map. Nothing is hunted down. You’re simply watching the sky the way you’d watch rain on a window.

Colour is altitude:low near the ground, midway through the climb, high in the cruise. When a route can be read with confidence, opening a light adds a small story: where it came from, where it is going, and whether it is climbing or coming home. When the sky does not know, Loftlit stays quiet.

Afterglow
departed flights leave slowly fading trails — the sky’s memory
Bloom
each aircraft gathers into a small, wool-soft cloud of light, bright at its heart
Air
a faint drift that follows the real winds aloft

The sky follows the light: cloud-milk by day, blue hour after dark, so it can stay open while you study, work, or fall asleep. For wonder, not navigation.
